Corrective Action Plan UNITED: One Issue, Two Counties — Arizona Speaks

From Navajo County to Maricopa County, the message is the same: We need a Corrective Action Plan — now.

Citizens are done with broken promises, ignored complaints, and contracts that shield failures from accountability.

Key Voices:

  • Donna Sherwin (Navajo County) called for recruiting high school students (16+) as election clerks under ARS § 16-531. These young citizens can earn $150, gain civics experience, and help solve poll worker shortages — while learning to serve their communities.
  • Jamie Martin (Maricopa County) laid out a complete 90-day Corrective Action Plan for contract oversight and complaint resolution. He’s been raising this for four years. He submitted formal requests, provided full documentation, and even escalated it through public records requests — yet still no real response.

Speakers presented evidence of:

  • Incomplete ballot reports
  • Missing dropbox camera footage
  • Unconscionable vendor contracts that block independent review
  • The same vague “future trainings and checklists” we’ve heard for years

A Corrective Action Plan is standard procedure in every regulated industry. It identifies problems, sets timelines, assigns responsibility, and verifies fixes. Why is local government exempt?

This isn’t just about elections anymore — it’s about every taxpayer-funded contract and every broken complaint process. The pattern is statewide. A parallel lawsuit in Maricopa Superior Court is already demanding the exact same CAP.

The people are offering real solutions: Invest in our youth. Fix the contracts. Implement guardrails. Stop repeating the same failures.

Invest in the People. Demand the Corrective Action Plan.

The Board can no longer claim “no one brought us a solution.” The solution is on the table — in writing.

Times have changed. Arizona is united on accountability. Ignore us at your peril.

Share this video. Demand every County Board of Supervisors adopt a real Corrective Action Plan.

It is Our Duty.

Stay vigilant.
