This is bigger than Flock. Maricopa County law enforcement currently uses Axon technology. This video also examines information concerning Axon surveillance capabilities and technology that can be incorporated into infrastructure such as light poles. Pinal County, Arizona, just sent a powerful message about constitutional rights, surveillance technology, and local government responsibility. After raising serious Fourth Amendment concerns surrounding Flock technology, the Pinal County Sheriff announced the decision to terminate the county’s Flock contract. Just as importantly, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors stood behind the decision. This video examines the technology, the constitutional concerns surrounding government surveillance, data retention and tracking, and why the relationship between private technology companies and law enforcement deserves public scrutiny. At the center of this story is a fundamental question: How far should surveillance technology be allowed to go before constitutional protections require government officials to draw the line?
